Fees & Policies for Happy Earth Pet Hospice

At Happy Earth Pet Hospice, I believe in clear, compassionate communication, especially when it comes to your pet’s care and your family’s peace of mind. Below you’ll find a full breakdown of my services and fees, along with important information about travel, scheduling, and cancellations.

My home base is in North Carolina, and I proudly serve families in Moyock, Elizabeth City, South Mills, Camden, Currituck, and surrounding areas. I also offer care in southeastern Virginia, including Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, and Norfolk, with a travel fee applied to appointments across state lines.

Body Care & Cremation Options

We offer compassionate handling of your pet’s remains following euthanasia, with two types of cremation options:

Communal Cremation

If you do not wish to receive your pet’s ashes back, this option allows for respectful, communal cremation. Ashes are not returned.

  • Transport & Cremation Fee: $200 (Includes cremation)

Private Cremation

If you would like your pet’s ashes returned in a personalized urn, this is an individualized option.

  • Transport Fee: $200
  • Cremation is billed separately by the crematorium once your pet arrives in their care.

Additional Fees

Additional fees are applied to the core services in certain situations, including for appointments after 4 pm, appointments scheduled on holidays, and large pets over 90 pounds. Observed holidays include New Year's Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve and Day.

Cancellation Policy

I understand that circumstances can change quickly. However, last-minute cancellations prevent me from reaching other families in need.

Appointments canceled with less than 2 hours' notice are subject to a $100 cancellation fee.
